Tuberculosis (TB) continues to be a global public health problem, which disproportionately affects poor and marginalized populations who often have limited health care access. Despite the continued global effort to end TB, the disease continues to be the leading infectious killer on the planet. Globally, an estimated 9.9 million people developed TB in 2020, and about 18% of these were in the Western Pacific.

Tuberculosis profiles provide a summary of key programme indicators for each country and area of the Western Pacific Region, including the latest available diseases burden estimates. The raw data are available in WHO's global TB database
